Yo Yo conducted baseball clinics.

A two day baseball skills development program was conducted by Ryotaro Hayakawa, former Japanese baseball pitcher who later played for Kansas University Baseball Team in the US.

Ryotaro, who is nicknamed as Yo Yo among the baseball fans was here to conduct coaching clinics mainly for the members of the national baseball team.

Sri Lanka national baseball team is due to play their first match of the year against the Asia Pacific University Baseball Team on the 22nd February. The match with the Japanese University team will be played at the Japan – Sri Lanka Friendship Baseball Ground, Diyagama, Homagama.

Yo Yo who flew to Sri Lanka at the invitation by the Sri Lanka Baseball Association paid much attention on the 10 best pitchers of the country. Commenting on the pitchers Yo Yo said that he is happy to see the variations and the speed of the Sri Lankan pitches but pointed out that the efforts should be made to correct some of the actions in pitchers as well as the fielders. Yo Yo further added that he is looking forward to come and help the team at the time of our preparations for next Asian Baseball Championship.

A simple conclusion ceremony was held to thank Yo Yo for his efforts in developing skills of Sri Lankan Baseball Players.
